Terms of service

These are the terms for using 75cl.co, the Uncorked reader and everything we publish there. Using the site, signing in or buying a series means you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. They sit alongside our privacy notice, which explains what we do with your email address.

Who we are

75cl, a business of Antipodean Holdings Group Pty Ltd (ABN 69 692 578 091) publishes Uncorked and runs 75cl.co. Contact: [email protected]. Uncorked is wine education for adults. You must be of legal drinking age where you live to use the site.

Your email is the key

There are no passwords. You enter your email address, we send you a link, and tapping it signs that device in for 90 days. The link is for you alone: do not forward it or share your access, and tell us if you think someone else is using it. Your access is personal and cannot be transferred, lent or sold. If access is shared or misused we may end it, and no refund is owed for that.

What is free and what you buy

Champagne Uncorked is free to read with a confirmed email address. Burgundy Uncorked and Piedmont Uncorked are bought once. Buying a series gives you a personal, non transferable right to read its five volumes in the Uncorked online reader, tied to your email address, for as long as the service runs. You are not buying a file to download or the right to copy the pages.

Prices and payment

Burgundy and Piedmont are €20 each, or €30 for both. Prices are in euro and include VAT. Payment is taken once at checkout by Stripe, our payment provider, which may act as the seller of record and handle VAT on our behalf. There is no subscription and nothing renews. Promotion codes can be capped or withdrawn at any time.

Immediate access and the right to withdraw

If you are a consumer in the EU or the UK you normally have 14 days to change your mind about something bought online. Digital content works differently. By completing a purchase you ask for access straight away and acknowledge that once access starts you lose that 14 day right. If you would rather wait the 14 days and keep the right, email us before you buy and we will arrange it.

If something is wrong

If the reader does not work on a device we say it works on, or a volume is not what we described, email [email protected] and we will put it right, and refund you if we cannot. Nothing in these terms limits the rights consumer law gives you where you live, including in Australia, the EU and the UK.

Fair use

The pages are for your own reading and study. Do not copy, screenshot in bulk, share, scrape, republish or resell them, do not feed them into any automated system, and do not remove our name from them. Quoting a line or showing a friend a page on your screen is fine. Shops, schools, tour companies and other businesses that want to use the pages need a licence: email us and tell us what you have in mind.

Our work

Everything on the site, from the art and the characters to the words and the reader itself, belongs to 75cl or to the people who made it for us, and is protected by copyright and other rights. Uncorked and 75cl are our names and marks. You get the reading rights described here and nothing else.

Independent, and not advice

Uncorked is an independent 75cl publication. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or a substitute for any wine education body, exam or course. Use it alongside your course materials. We work hard to get the facts right and we correct mistakes when readers point them out, but we do not promise that every fact is complete or current, and nothing here is professional, legal or medical advice. Please drink responsibly.

Email and privacy

We use your email address to send your sign in link, to keep your devices signed in and to know what you have bought. News about new regions is separate and only comes if you tick the box; one click stops it. The privacy notice has the detail, including the cookie set when a partner sends you to us.

Partners

People and businesses who send readers to us may earn a commission under separate partner terms. A referral never changes what you pay or what you get.

Changes and closing

We add pages, fix errors and improve the reader as we go, and we may change or withdraw features. We may update these terms; the date at the bottom tells you when, and if a change affects something you have already bought we will email you first. If we ever close the reader we will give you at least 30 days notice by email so you can finish reading.

Our responsibility

We provide the reader and the volumes with reasonable care and skill. Beyond what the law does not let us exclude, we are not responsible for losses that are indirect or that we could not reasonably have expected, and our total responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the problem arose. Nothing here limits our responsibility for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for anything else the law says cannot be limited.

Ending

You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your email address; the privacy notice says how. We can end or suspend your access if you break these terms, with notice and a chance to put things right where that is reasonable. Ending access for a breach does not entitle you to a refund.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, where 75cl is based. If you are a consumer in another country you also keep the protection of the law where you live and can bring a claim there. If something goes wrong, email [email protected] first. Most things are sorted out with one reply.
