Burgundy, Piedmont and Champagne, one page at a time. Mud tasting monks, a furious duke, the Barolo Wars, the widow who changed Champagne and every cru that matters. The stories make the regions, the villages and the producers stick: for the exam, for the floor, and for the next bottle.
Every page stands alone: a village, a grape, a soil, a feud. Read one on the train and you have something you can use tonight, at the bottle shop or at table six.
You will forget a list of 33 grands crus. You will not forget the duke who banned a grape, or the monks who tasted the soil. Every fact in Uncorked is attached to a story so it stays put.
Volume 01 gets a beginner fluent. Volumes 02 to 05 go deep: soils, viticulture, cellar choices, the producers to know and a final exam in every book. Pitched at WSET 2 and 3 and French Wine Scholar depth.
Six real pages, one after another. Then read any volume, cover to cover, no sign up needed.
WSET 2 and 3, French Wine Scholar, or your own syllabus. Villages, crus, soils and producers in a form you can revise a page at a time, with a final exam at the end of every deep dive so you know what stuck.
Sommeliers, bar and restaurant teams. Enough about each village and producer to talk about the bottle with confidence, and a story to tell while you pour it.
Start with any Volume 01. In 16 pages you will know what the label means, what to expect in the glass and what to order with dinner.
Read the region before you land. Know which hill you are standing on, whose cellar you are in and what to ask for.
Every volume here is already open. Leave your email and you hear first about new regions and special releases, and you get a vote on which region we uncork next. If your pick wins, the new edition lands in your inbox first.

Volume 01 of each region assumes you know nothing. Volumes 02 to 05 cover soils, vineyard work, cellar technique, classifications and key producers at the depth WSET 3 and French Wine Scholar students work at.
